Valentines Day Gifts

Happy Halloween from me, as well! I was going to discuss what I think is the #6 top movie to watch on Valentine’s Day but since it is Halloween maybe I’ll go in a different direction. How about a small list of Halloween movies to watch with your honey while waiting for all the trick or treaters? My favorite….. It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! I’ve been watching Charlie Brown since I can remember, definitely a kid at heart, I guess.

Or, there’s always the horror flicks like the Friday the 13th series or the Nightmare on Elm Streets. These movies are definite classics that will make you want to cuddle up close to the one you love. Either way… pop up the popcorn, be safe, enjoy each other’s company, and have a Happy Halloween!

There are a bunch of websites out there that sell chocolates. One of them I saw stumbled upon today is called LakeChamplainChocolates.com. They have everything from chocolate bars to chocolate gift baskets, and all of it looks extremely rich. Mmmmm, delicious.

Have you ever thought about just getting away from everyone and everything and just enjoying the company of each other? Well why not get away at a nice, romantic bed and breakfast!

There are hundreds of B and B’s all over the United States so you can virtually go anywhere. In my opinion, B and B’s are better than getting a hotel room because they are not usually located on top of other tourist attractions. You can get a little distance from the headaches of crowds and traffic.

And, if you’re a beach lover, you can also find Bed and breakfasts near the coast!

I can’t believe that in that rambling on about movies and sports bars and Hooters, you actually think I made a valid point. Sweet - I’ll pat myself on the back for that one. However, I’ll try not to sound so bitter this time.

I ran across a site today called FrameMyPhotos.com. It takes a your photos and digitally frames them so it’s easy to send out for Christmas cards, Birthday Invitations, Birth Announcements - really any reason you can possibly have for sending photos either on the web or the actual physical photo. The cost is next to nothing too - looks like some pretty cool software.

You could send this custom photo gift along with your e-card in the morning, flowers in the afternoon, dinner at night, and you have a nice little day planned.

Ladies, I don’t think Clueless Guy understands true male hotness. Prime example: Matthew McConaughey. See, it doesn’t matter if he is or isn’t a good actor. As long as he takes off his shirt…. I’m happy! “Alright, alright!”

Oh and one more thing before I get to the real reason for this post…… Clueless Guy asked a very important question that I must address. What will the guy be doing while we ladies are being pampered? Ummmm, yea you’ll be cleaning the house or watching the kids, since that’s what we do when you are out playing.

On a more serious note, since I guess it is Valentine’s Day and not just ladies day, I suppose we could get something for our men and I know that there are only two things on their minds. Us women and…. well sports.

You can find pretty much any sport collectors item that will keep your man entertained for hours. You can even personalize. No worries if you can’t find the perfect sports gift because Things Remembered has a huge assortment of other gift ideas and for any occasion.

Wow Hot Chick, you’re going to force a guy to watch How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, then you get to go to the spa all by yourself? What is this, pamper only women day? Hmmm, yes I suppose it is. I have to say though, I like the Notebook, I’ve never seen Dirty Dancing or that fake orgasm movie, but How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is by far one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Just awful. I had to watch it in a hotel room where there was nowhere else to go - just torturous, mindless drivel. Matthew McConaughey is like Ben Affleck - it’s possible for him to be in a good movie, but not because of what he does, just as long as he doesn’t ruin it (think Dazed and Confused). I’m going to have to start doing a top ten for porn or something.

Anyway Hot Chick, if you’re being pampered, what does your man get to do? Maybe if you get to spend the day at the spa, you should get him tickets to his favorite sporting event. Or maybe even get him a gift certificate to his favorite sports bar so he can watch 10 games at a time while drinking beer and not having to worry about the bill.

I know that in recent posts I talked about a spa getaway for two, but what about a spa day just for her? With SpaFinder you can search for day spas in your local area. It’s a great gift to give her the pampering she needs.

Also check out Spa Magazine. Believe it or not, they have dinner recipes. How great would it be for you girlfriend, wife, or even mom to come home from her luxerious and heavenlday at the spa and be treated to a nice, romantic dinner. Let the pampering begin!!

Wow, a new bed? Hey Clueless Guy, what an awesome idea. I’ve been complaining about my back for months now. I bet a new bed would totally solve that problem. Well, unfortunatly for me, the cliché of “money is no object” doesn’t really apply. But, who knows what the future holds.

For now, let’s talk about my #7 top movie to watch with your special someone. Clueless Guy, I know you’ll appreciate this one. That’s right….. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. This film stars my sexy man, Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson. In my opinion, it’s definitely a wake up call for you ladies out there who think calling your new man 80 times in a day is romantic. Not to mention naming his well, you know what “Princess Sophia.”

It’s nice to have someone to sleep with every night, but I think most people would admit that they get more restful sleep when they sleep alone. More room, no one there to bother you because of snoring, nightmares, bathroom trips, restlessness, etc. It can be even worse when you have a small or uncomfortable mattress. And when you don’t get good sleep, it leads to just an overall bad mood. Have you ever woken up next to your partner in the middle of the night or in the morning pissed off at them for no good reason at all?

Well, I think it might be time to buy something for Valentines Day that could save your relationship - a bigger, more comfortable mattress. I was searching around, and it looks like the new trend is getting a memory foam mattress. I have to admit they sound awesome.

You’ve probably all seen those Tempurpedic mattress commercials where there’s a glass of wine on the bed that stays absolutely even when the woman jumps up and down on the bed. I really want to try it. No more restless nights. Perfect gift for those couples that have been together for awhile.

And where do I find that woman to jump up and down on my bed?

I know that Valentine’s Day is in February so it may be a little cold but who said you had to be outside to enjoy a romantic picnic? Personally, I think all that matters is that you’re with the one you love.

But again, who doesn’t love a picnic? Yuummmmmm, sandwiches, chesse and crackers, champagne. All my favs. And of course my man enjoying the meal too. It’s a great and romantic way to spend the day. And, if the weather turns out to be nice afterall, take your picnic to the park.
