Pamper Her With A Spa Day

December 16, 2007 By: Hot Chick Category: Hot Chick Articles, Valentines Day Gifts for Grandma, Valentines Day Gifts for Mom, Valentines Day Gifts for Girlfriend, Valentines Day Gifts for Her, Valentines Day Gifts for Wife, Valentines Day Gifts No Comments →

With the holiday season upon us, I felt it necessary to re-mention a Spa Day for the women in your lives.  If you’re like me, than the holidays bring a lot of tension into the family and relationship.  The malls are insane with people, the lines are horribly long, the traffic…. let’s not even go there.

Sending Mom, Grandma, girlfriend or wife to the spa to show them how much they are appreciated is the perfect idea.  We women will come home afterwards feeling so relaxed.  It’s only a couple of hours and if you are feeling extra giving, try cleaning up the house or cooking a great dinner for her to come home to.

Happy Holidays!

Latte, Anyone?

So, we’ve talked bout wine and beer of the month clubs, but what about all those coffee drinkers?  Like myself, if you enjoy a nice cup of coffee each morning than a different brand and taste might be a nice wake-up enjoyment.  You can choose from 3,6,9 or 12 month club memberships and choose from many different flavors.

And, if you really don’t like coffee but you are instead a  cappuccino, lover, hey….. that’s okay too.

It’s actually pretty inexpensive and a nice idea for anyone in your family who are coffee addicts.

Romantic Sand Message

You know when you were little, you made sand castles on the beach or wrote little messages?  Well, how about writing a romantic sand message to the one you love and framing it as to look at it all the time?

This is a perfect, and very inexpensive gift if you live in a warm place near a beach, but most of the US is covered in snow around this time of year.  If this is you, then there are sites that can help you with this idea.  They will take the picture and you pay of it.  It’s still a great gift that your special someone will cherish forever.

Top Movies…… Number 1

December 02, 2007 By: Hot Chick Category: Hot Chick Articles, Valentines Day Gifts for Couples, Valentines Day Gifts No Comments →

Alas,  the day we’ve all been waiting for.  The day I announce my #1 top movie to watch with your special someone on Valentine’s Day.  And even better ladies…… it’s starring Omar Epps!

Love and Basketball is a perfect movie for couples because it ties in what men and women want in a movie.  Men want sports and women want the love story.  This movie has both wrapped into one.  (And well, an added bonus for us ladies is that you get to see Omar’s booty.  That makes any girl’s day!)

Well, that’s it! I’ve wrapped up my list of the top 10 best movies for the Valentine’s Day occasion.  Be sure to check out my previous picks and enjoy these movies on all your date nights! ;)

Makeover Your Makeup

Awww, Clueless Guy, that’s a cute gift idea.  I wish I would’ve thought of that one.

Another unique idea for the woman, or mom in your life is giving the gift of makeup.  Many women out there, including me at times, don’t know the best makeup and well, don’t exactly have the best budget either.  With this one on one session with celebrity makeup artist Emily Connors,  your special someone can learn about all the different cosmetics available and learn what the best brands for them are.

You can learn what works, learn what doesn’t and learn what to change.  It’s a great way to create a new look and be ready for all your future nights on the town.  These sessions are currently held in only a few locations such as Atlanta, Washington DC, and New York but I’m sure you can rearch and find a local makeup makeover session near you.  Or….. you can always send her on a little trip.  I’m sure either way, she’ll love the gift!

Top Movies… Number 2

November 24, 2007 By: Hot Chick Category: Hot Chick Articles, Valentines Day Gifts for Couples, Valentines Day Gifts No Comments →

Hey everyone, sorry it’s been awhile since I’ve continued by movie countdown. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

We are finally coming down to the end of my countdown and today I’d like to share with you my #2 top movie to watch on Valentine’s Day! Ah, yes….. The Princess Bride. I find it very hard to believe that there might be someone who hasn’t seen this classic, but if you haven’t, you need to. It is a lovestory but with so much more. It also mixes comedy and fantasy and it even has Andre the giant.

It’s a good story, I mean it. Would anyone like a peanut? ;)

Ultimate Car Gadget

Awww, that’s really sweet, Clueless Guy, to get something for your grandma.  I’m sure she as well as all Grandmas and Grandpas would love a gift on Valentine’s Day.

After reading your blog regarding your golf gadget though, it got me thinking….  how many times have I taken a road trip and my boyfriend asks where we are and where we should’ve turned?  Way too many for me to count.  And, he usually refuses to pull over and ask for directions

With a car GPS system, you will never have to pull over because the GPS will tell you when to turn and how far you have left before turning.  I don’t have one in my car yet, because…. well, my car doesn’t have a whole lot of anything, but if I could afford it, I definitely would have one.  That’s why it would be a nice gift, and make driving and time go a lot smoother.  (Let’s just hope that the operator is smart enough to know that if the GPS says to turn and there’s a lake, not to drive into it, cuz’ well…. that wouldn’t be good.)

Sentimental Light

I know I’ve had a lot of photograph ideas but I keep finding more and more unique ideas to share.  This idea is actually pretty cool because you can turn one of your simplest photos into a magical light.

What’s so neat and different about this magical light is that there is no actual photograph within the picture.  Light Affection takes the photo that you provide and carves a duplicate copy for display.  The light is placed behind which displays the beautiful illusion of your memorable moment.  It’s simply a unique way to show someone you care and can be a great gift for anyone!

Educate Each Other

One of my fondest memories growing up and being in school was going on field trips.  We went to all sorts of places.  The zoo, the woods for nature walks, museums and even planetariums.  Yes, they were educational, but they were fun and sometimes exciting too.

I’d go today, but I like going with others.  I still remember my trip to Chicago visiting the Shedd Aquarium.  It was so exciting and that trip was actually with my family.

So, why not make it a Valentine’s Day date?  Make a day of it, just the two of you.  It’s romantic and fun!

Top Movies… Number 3

November 15, 2007 By: Hot Chick Category: Hot Chick Articles, Valentines Day Gifts for Couples, Valentines Day Gifts No Comments →

A capella, eh?  I can say I would be flattered but I would have to say I would much prefer a professional group than my boyfriend and his friends.  Since you, Clueless Guy, are the brother of my boyfriend, I’m guessing you would be in the group of friends he would pick.  I can imagine most of you are a tad bit tone deaf.  I know my man is….. ;)

So anyways……. how about my #3 pick for my top movies to watch on Valentine’s Day.  Well, you can’t have a top movie list without Adam Sandler, but for me, I happen to like Spanglish better than some of his other romantic classics.  It’s doesn’t have the same funny, but pointless story line that most of his eariler films have.  Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, and even The Wedding Singer, but this film brings a softer romantic/comedy tone.  His humor is a bit more subtle but still amusing.  And, you see a softer Sandler that we’re not used to seeing. He’s a chef, father, and husband…… so you pretty much see him as the all around family man, but of course with his comedic twist.
