Have you ever not realized how much there is for you and your somone to do on a date? I know I usually end of doing the same thing on every date. It’s usually dinner and a movie. I’m starting to realize that this kind of date idea is getting a little bland. And, well we all know that getting the guy in the relationship to plan the date probably won’t work either. They usually have one thing on their minds.
With PlanJam, you enter in your zip code and use the pull down menu to choose your date idea and BAM! It gives you the locations all within your area. You don’t have to brainstorm anymore. Just choose an idea and roll with it. It’s actually kind of cool seeing the different bonding ideas there are. I think I might pick out my next date idea with PlanJam. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Ok, enough ranting about fast food deliciousness. Any more road trips with Taco Bell and snack food the whole way and I’ll end up at fat camp.
But that’s not the camp that the title refers to. Ladies, a great gift that you can give your man would be to send him to camp, and there are a ton out there. If he’s a formal baseball player or just a fan of America’s game, send him to baseball camp.
If he’s a wannabe poker player, send him to the WPT Poker Camp.
I’m sure you can also find football camps, basketball camps, or even golf camps. You get to play with other amateurs, and you get instruction from real pros and coaches. These will probably cost a lot, but it might be the best gift ever if he’s a huge fan of the sport / game. Plus you get a vacation from each other for a week or so too. And if he goes to poker camp and actually learns something, he might make all that money back.
One of my fondest memories growing up and being in school was going on field trips. We went to all sorts of places. The zoo, the woods for nature walks, museums and even planetariums. Yes, they were educational, but they were fun and sometimes exciting too.
I’d go today, but I like going with others. I still remember my trip to Chicago visiting the Shedd Aquarium. It was so exciting and that trip was actually with my family.
So, why not make it a Valentine’s Day date? Make a day of it, just the two of you. It’s romantic and fun!
Since Valentine’s Day is in February, one of the brrrrrr months, I thought about checking out some of America’s finest ski resorts. There are plenty of things to do at the slopes including the obvious, but you can always just cuddle up under the fire in your rooms and never see daylight. But, then again you can do that at home for free so why not enjoy the snow and fine dining. And, if you don’t yet have skis, never fear. Ski Gear Cheap has plenty!
Just a piece of advice though…… don’t stick your tongue to the ski lift pole, just because you saw it in a movie. There’s a reason it’s called Dumb and Dumber, you know.
Have you ever thought about just getting away from everyone and everything and just enjoying the company of each other? Well why not get away at a nice, romantic bed and breakfast!
There are hundreds of B and B’s all over the United States so you can virtually go anywhere. In my opinion, B and B’s are better than getting a hotel room because they are not usually located on top of other tourist attractions. You can get a little distance from the headaches of crowds and traffic.
And, if you’re a beach lover, you can also find Bed and breakfasts near the coast!
I know that in recent posts I talked about a spa getaway for two, but what about a spa day just for her? With SpaFinder you can search for day spas in your local area. It’s a great gift to give her the pampering she needs.
Also check out Spa Magazine. Believe it or not, they have dinner recipes. How great would it be for you girlfriend, wife, or even mom to come home from her luxerious and heavenlday at the spa and be treated to a nice, romantic dinner. Let the pampering begin!!
Wow, Clueless Guy, you never cease to amaze me. I thought you and all other guys out there think that jewelry is something not practical. So, is a pearl necklace not considered jewelry? I mean, don’t you think that’s a little hypocritical? Ok, ok just joking, but in the spirit of joking, how about you and your someone go to a comedy club?
It’s a great way to spend time together while having a laugh, and it’s well worth it. And, although there isn’t a local Second City in every city along the US, there are several locations to choose from. Chicago, Vegas, LA and Detroit…… and those are just a few.
Typical guy….. all you think about is sex. What about the romance and passion? Ok, so it was a very cute idea to adopt a pet. But what about something spontanious? So, I did some research and thinking and you know what I’ve always loved to do, but haven’t yet? I’d love to go on a hot air balloon ride. How romantic would that be to float over your town and be hundreds of feet in the air?
I thought at first that it would be hard to locate a company who gives tours, but I actually found a lot of results. With Soaring Adventures, you take a 90 minute ride and at a not too bad cost. And hey, if you want something more daring, they also offer gliding.
I’ve always been amazed at how cheap cruises can be. You get to go to all these exotic locations and there’s a ton of stuff to do on the boat, yet it costs only slightly more than staying in a hotel room. Food available all day, clubs, pools, casinos, girls in next to nothing, away from everything - what more do you want?
I don’t know that there are specific Valentines Day cruises available, but I did see some honeymoon cruises at CruiseCheap.com. They even have a top ten list with everything from a transatlantic cruise to London to scuba diving in Tahiti.
I’ve been on a couple and they were a blast - highly recommended. Unless of course you get seasick.
Just when I was starting to think that guys weren’t so clueless, Clueless guy goes and creates an idea with minimul effort. Hello??? That’s why you’re so clueless!!! Unless you write something additional in that card, that just won’t cut it. Be a little more creative than that.
Clueless Guy and Hot Chick are searching the web far and wide to find the perfect gifts. Leave a comment or email us at valentinesdaygiftsblog@gmail.com to give us some ideas.
